Dear SCLL,

Today Seattle Public Schools announced that all schools within the district are closed for 14 days. In addition, Governor Inslee also announced today that groups over 250 should not gather for the foreseeable future. 

In light of this news, the SCLL board of directors elected to cancel all practices for all levels for the next week. We will continue to monitor this very fluid situation and hope to return to practices in the near future. 

In addition, we are also canceling SCLL Opening Day on March 28th. Instead, we will reschedule a mid-season jamboree event to officially celebrate all SCLL baseball and softball players. Please be on the lookout for more details within the next few weeks.

We realize that many of your kids and ballplayers are itching to get outside and play ball and so we encourage you to play catch! 

We will continue to evaluate the situation, and will communicate any updates or changes to SCLL schedules with the next week.
