Please read and understand Little League Baseball’s age determination policy in order to properly determine your player’s League Age.
Softball Divisions
AA/Coach Pitch Softball
AA/Coach Pitch softball is oriented toward younger (typically 7 and 8 year old) girls who are learning the game. It's a fun way to learn the game, and bridges the gap between Tee Ball and kid-pitch softball, where kids continue to learn the fundamentals and transition to hitting a pitched softball. There will be opportunities for players to try pitching.
AAA (Minors) and Majors Fastpitch Softball
AAA (Minors) softball is open to 9-10 year old girls. Minors is both instructional and competitive, with a greater emphasis on instruction. Players are invited to Skills Day to determine placement.
Majors softball is for 10-12 year old girls. Majors is competitive, while still teaching the game. Players are required to attend Skills Day to determine placement and to balance team rosters.
Both divisions generally practice two weeknights in March and April and play Saturday games in April, then switch to one weeknight practice, one weeknight game, and a Saturday game from May through mid-June. Depending on enrollment, games may be played throughout the District (south Seattle and south King County).
Juniors Fastpitch Softball
Juniors softball is offered for 12 - 14 year old girls. These teams play other teams in the King County area. Juniors softball continues to be played on a 60' diamond, but with an increase in the pitching distance to 43', which are the same distances as are used in high school softball.
Baseball Divisions

Intermediates Baseball
Intermediates, also known as "50/70", is for players 12-13 years old based on skills assessment. The division is intended as a bridge from Majors to Juniors and/or High School play. The 50/70 name comes from the diamond dimensions – 70′ basepaths and 50′ pitching distance; these dimensions are larger than the Little League diamond but smaller than the regulation field players will encounter in High School and beyond. The full game, including leadoffs and true steals, is taught.
Participation in Skills Day is required for players in this division, and players are subject to the League Draft. The Intermediates schedule is played throughout the District, and will involve interleague play against teams from other Leagues in south Seattle and south King County.
Juniors Baseball
Juniors baseball is offered for 13 and 14 year old boys. These teams play other teams in the King County area. Juniors baseball is played on a 90' (full size) baseball diamond, equivalent to what the players will experience in high school and beyond.
